Hyundai Sets All-Time Record April
Hyundai Motor America announced sales of 63,315 units, up two percent versus the same period in 2012.
“April is always a transitional month going into our peak selling season and we were pleased with the strength that both the industry and our award-winning lineup of vehicles exhibited,” said Dave Zuchowski, executive vice president of national sales. “Through the first four months of this year, HMA has shattered its all-time volume mark, and with strong economic signals, improving availability and a historically strong selling season directly in front of us, we fully expect to continue this record-setting trend for the first six months of the year.”
Elantra sales for the month were 24,445 units, up 45 percent over last April and up 29 percent year-to-date. The all-new award-winning Santa Fe, which is offering families a fresh alternative in this highly competitive segment, had sales of 6,940 units for the month, up 10 percent over April 2012 and 27 percent for the year.

The 2012 Accent SE Is Surprisingly Fun To Drive!
Recently I came across a review of the 2012 Accent By Antuan Goodwin as posted on reviews.cnet.com. I though it was a pretty detailed review so wanted to pass this on to you!
The good: The 2012 Hyundai Accent SE is surprisingly fun to drive and offers a respectable level of cabin technology, including Bluetooth calling and audio streaming, USB and iPod connectivity, and SiriusXM satellite radio.
The bad: Hyundai’s navigation system is not available on any Accent model.
The bottom line: The 2012 Hyundai Accent SE continues Hyundai’s streak of great cars with great tech, but the omission of a navigation option keeps this entry-level model from getting top marks.
Hyundai seems to be batting a thousand these days. Working its way from the top to the bottom of its lineup, the Korean automaker has debuted a pair of luxury sedans in the Genesis and the Equus, a line of performance Genesis Coupes, the Sonata that’s caused the Japanese competition to take notice, and the Elantra sedan that’s as good–if not better–than any Civic lacking an Si badge. Hyundai now turns its attention to its entry-level Accent: a car that, in its previous generation was noteworthy for once holding the title of cheapest car in America with its sub-$10,000 price tag.
